My Government

Its Politics Season...!!!
Rajneeti has released and we are again refreshed with the kind of politics that go in our country.

People say...Please Vote....Vote so that a right candidate wins...but dude we have to choose best amongst worst...

That is the poor situation we face in this country.

Movies like Nayak, was an apt example of what a Government should do after gaining power, but the debate still goes, Is It Possible????

Well not getting into this debate, rather let us all focus onto more important point....

What if???

What if it was your government???

What would you do??

What changes you would bring????

What should be backed by how and why too....otherwise its very easy today to say what a government should do....

So Lets Make My Government a platform to share our views( no matter how foolish, how impossible) but lets try and share and see if anything's possible...

Let Me begin with the Quota System in Education in India.

As we all know and at the same most of us are also against the increasing percentage of quotas for students getting into IIM, IIT, AIIMS and all other institutes, which is a major concern of the current youth.

We all feel that Govt. for gaining votes, is constantly supporting the SC, ST & OBC. The result is the poor quality of students coming out of the colleges, schools.

So what to do then???

If we reduce the percentage, govt. will loose seats, it would also affect genuine needy people.

So need to find a middle way out!!!!...

Now according to me, the solution could be, use the funding for ST, SC & OBC to provide them proper schooling with all facilities. After that from class 12 it should be made on merit basis.

Of course there would be no age bar, because it might happen sometimes that the person is not able to study in school in his early years. But My Govt. will give him a fair chance to study, and all the facilities that a normal student would get to study for IIT or AIIMS.

In this way the students will actually study, instead of easily getting into these institutes.

Also the students who misuse this facility of ST, SC & OBC will be stopped and automatically the overall quality will improve and thus we would see a visible change in the whole education system of the country.

So Guys, what you would do if you were the Government. What steps you would take to achieve the vision you have....

so lets begin...Its MY GOVERNMENT.....

  8. Blaming a government is what we all do to hide our own short-comings. Indians lack civic sense and until we develop a respect for our country, nothing much can be achieved.

Quota system was developed to give equal opportunities to the deprived. Like everything else in life, this system was misused by the greedy. India is a democracy being pulled by different strata of society in different directions. God forbid, I do not support communism, but the people who deserve a quota are the poor. Poverty was the underlying cause of any class system in the first place.

@One Family Photographs: For the next 20 years, India and economies alike will depend on coal and oil for their primary energy need. Nuclear will emerge as a solution if renewable energy does not gain enough momentum. Privatization I am not sure about. Resources are best exploited in the hands of the government. BP or Obama, who do people trust more? You have an answer to that one !

  9. Lets talk about change only when we can bring about it!! The Indian media discusses several issues...but what do we do? Draw conclusions at the end of the debate. Is anything done to bring about the change/rectify the system. Some may say yes but the %.The problem is we Indians discuss a lot, foresee problems, but never take any action at out local level. SO DISCUSS ONLY WHEN YOU CAN BRING ABOUT THE CHANGE. BE A PART OF CHANGE. A CHANGE WHICH WOULD MAKE LIFE BETTER NOT ONLY FOR YOURSELF BUT ALSO FOR PEOPLE AROUND YOU, AND MOREOVER ITS OUR GOVERNMENT and not someone's "MY" property

  10. I would have totally agreed that its OUR Government not MY property, but on a personal level please share what changes can we bring here.

the point is we cannot, the political situation is really bad here....if you are speaking about changes at local level please enlighten us what kind of changes you would make...and tht is where we find the importance of MY government as it is in this way at least we can raise our concerns.

In India, there are thousand of problems how to change until and unless you are not going deep into the political drain...and practically who would like to go there?

Thats why virtually we can think of Our Government to be My Government where for a change you voice your ideas, and be a part of the change.

Tell me how much Our Government is it today??

How do you define yourself by being OUR??
    Just by giving a vote??

As if your vote is very worthy.
even if you choose one you will choose according to the policies which tht govt. applies, how much do u read before voting, how much u know abt the govt.

The point is first to be aware of the things and after that think of a change, and according to the current system in India, its not possible to change, unless you are fully involved in it.

Here that is what everyone is trying to do is to tell openly what all needs to be changed and why and how...at least here someone would feel that it is his government also, coz he is a part of change which you mentioned, although virtually, but still a part.

  13. Sorry, my bad. Was sure it would be you. I agree that Indians do talk a lot and follow it much less. But a change does not need a big force. A small idea can change a lot if it is pursued with all might and heart. And of course one vote can change a lot. Votes are never cast without any thinking. A collective view has changed a lot in our recent political scene.

  14. @poddar: thanks man...and to tell you honestly...my blogging is inspired by you and kohli a lot...and also have taken those widgets from your blog itself...so thanks man!!!

Love the passion ppl have...at least some...
only thing which is required is courage and time...

and very truly said @anonymous that a collective view has changed a lot in our recent political scene...

it is the media, which has surely changed the political situation in India, no matter how much we curse them, but media is a major driver, and things are certainly changing, slowly but steadily, it will take time here, coz of the population and corruption...

but its going good..am sure there are lots of bad things, but there are goods to...cherish the goods and change the bads....

    Thanks Readers!!!

  16. @peeyush i guess many will not agree to this...yes many things cud be changed...but then our country's constitution is very strong....only following part is a bit hiccup...but if for some time dictatorship is brought in...then many things cud be changed...

  18. If it were my government, I guess my first concern would be the Maoists. Plus the problems of poverty and illiteracy which have been prevailing in India. Free education to the poor should solv it all...
